  • Sean‘s case represents one of the main reasons why Operation Homefront was founded in 2002. When our country went to war, many of our military families had to make adjustments to a new paradigm after years of peacetime service.

Travis Mills Foundation

The Travis Mills Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting post-9/11 recalibrated veterans and their families. Founded in 2013 by retired U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills, one of only five quadruple amputees from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to survive his injuries, the foundation offers all-inclusive, barrier-free retreats in Maine. These retreats provide veterans and their families with opportunities for adaptive activities, relaxation, and bonding with others who have faced similar challenges.

  • In 2024, The William J. Martin Foundation donated $15,000 to the Travis Mills Foundation to support its Warrior PATHH program for combat veterans and first responders with post-traumatic stress. The letter expresses deep appreciation for the foundation's support in helping change lives and advance the foundation’s mission.
